After-School Tutoring
Work with students in grades 5-8 on homework. Tutoring is from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Thursday. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to volunteer but can't make the commitment to always come on a certain day.

Reading Buddy
Work with a child by listening to them read. Volunteer times depend on the age of the student.

e-Mail Pal
Correspond with students grades 6-8 via e-mail. YouthFriends e-Mentoring is a special opportunity for busy professionals who work for YouthFriends Employer Partners and want to volunteer with young people without having to leave their desks. By simply exchanging at least one e-mail per week with students, YouthFriends e-Mentors can help students improve their reading, writing and communications skills.
