Steps to Becoming a YouthFriend

Good schools engage the resources of their communities to effect positive outcomes for students. When schools open their doors to volunteers—in a prudent and organized way—everyone wins.Fill out an online application or download and complete an application

• Consent to a confidential background check (YouthFriends conducts criminal, child abuse and neglect and sex offender registry checks for each applicant who will be working directly with a student on a continuing basis). View screening criteria here.
• Once approved, attend a free, two-hour training session
